Find beauty in everything

I’ve always been curious about the world around me. When I was younger, I found myself constantly chasing sunsets, trying—usually unsuccessfully—to capture them on a cheap phone. That changed in 2023, when I picked up my first mirrorless camera. Suddenly, I had a reason to explore parts of Singapore I had never visited before. For the first time, I saw the quiet beauty woven into our everyday environments. I found myself wandering down alleys and into overlooked corners, searching for the true character of the city. I wanted to capture the very essence of the locations and somehow translate that feeling of awe through a screen and into the eyes of whoever saw my photos.

Tools of the trade

My kit is minimalistic to remain light and agile on those long photowalks. A Sony ZV-E10 APSC camera has been my workhorse for years, offering a low profile but still retaining image quality. Paired with a 50mm for portraits and beautiful bokeh and a 35mm for wider shots, it provides versatility in all situations. I also run an Olympus OM-1 for film photography and a DJI Osmo Pocket 4 for cinematic videography.

It may not always be about the gear, but the right tools do make a vision possible.
